Review of Trefoil by M.C. Moore

Overview By B&N

Some days are just like fairy tales. You wake up a normal teenager in NYC, but by dinner time you find out you’re a fairy princess. Meckenzie Desmond’s life took that turn as she and her triplet brother and sister find out that their mother, who disappeared when they were ten, is the fairy queen and they are meant to rule the world of Aquanis. Like every fairy tale, there is an evil lurking in the shadows to make sure there are no happy ever afters.

Review by the Bookworm
Thumbs up to M. C. Moore for a fabulous fairy adventure.  Of course, it is a trilogy and none of the other books are available.  (Why oh why do I pick these?)

In the book we meet Meckenzie, Taggart and Kellan.  Soon to be 18 year old triplets with their whole lives mapped out.  Well, all except for Meckenzie.  She has no idea what she wants to do with her life, while Taggart dreams of Harvard and a M.D behind his name and Kellan dreams of a life of professional sports.  Has their life been all rosey living on Central Park.  No.  Their mother mysteriously disappeared when they were ten, leaving them behind with their father who truly does love them.

Weeks before their eighteenth birthday they receive stunning news.   Their mother is alive.  Not only is she alive or well, she is the queen of the fey lands.  You read that right.  Fey.  Our protaganists are fairies.  Even good all-American boy Taggart, who takes it all in stride.  Along with this they find out they are developing powers, there is a fey war, and there is a reason behind why their mother disappeared all those years ago.

It has a few errors, which can be expected of a self published book.  Hey, even professionals make mistakes, but it is well thought out, well written and worth the find!  Check it out.  As for myself, I will be keeping an eye out on this author!

Loves,
The Bookworm!
