Sickness.

Again I was taken out of the game by bronchitis which turned into pneumonia.  I'm sorry for being so behind!

Stormie

The Girl in the Lighthouse.

Let me say first, I have NEVER promised to be nice in my reviews, but I try to find positives. In this series...there are none!
There was no overview for this series.  I have to admit, I picked up the first from Free Friday give aways. I liked the first one and it intrigued me to pick up the second....though....the author has no clue about the south.  It's collard greens, not collard beans....they are eaten together, but never in the same pot.  Plus even in the 1800's, not all "corn bread" was called corn pone.  The references to the south really was annoying making us look as if we were uneducated and stupid.  Which in itself was not the brightest thing sense the main characters parents were from Savannah, GA.

The second book was a headache!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Lillian NEVER caught a break EVER!  Everyone's life has some up's but this girls was continual downward spiral the whole way.  She finally marries the love her life only to have her husband show back up, who's dead?!  And chooses the dead husband?  Come on!  The whole thing was a V.C. Andrews rip off in my opinion, and not even the great author V.C. Andrews, not the lame one's that have been ghost writing under her name.

Boo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Don't waste your money!

Loves!

Curse of the Ice Dragon by Tara West

OVERVIEW BY B&N

From the bestselling paranormal author of The Whispers Series comes a new fantasy saga.
Born with mark of the Mighty Hunter, Markus saves his village from the brink of starvation --for whenever he releases an arrow, his aim is true. But despite his skill and strength, Markus is unable to confront his tyrannical father. Shamed by his cowardice, he distracts himself by needlessly shooting the forest creatures.
When Markus takes no heed of the village prophet's warning that his actions will attract The Hunter’s Curse—for every animal Markus kills, his loved ones will suffer the same fate—the Sky Goddess unleashes her ice dragon. Now, Markus must flee the dragon without killing it ... or his beloved brother will be the next to die.

REVIEW BY THE BOOKWORM

Eragon with a twist!  Actually to me, this is better than Eragon.  Yes, you Paloni people beat me to death. I didn't say I didn't like him. I own all the books.  It's just, simply put, BETTER!  There is more meat on the bones so to speak.

Markus is a more developed character right from the start. He is growing in ways that Eragon does not need to grow, and I find myself compelled to get to know more and more about it.  The overview gives you all the information that you need.

But this is a read that you have to do!  I'm serious!  You will NOT regret it!
